Based on feedback from recent search query data regarding Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics has added the following reports in the traffic source section:
- Queries – impressions, clicks, position, and CTR info for the top 1,000 daily queries
- Landing Pages – impressions, clicks, position, and CTR info for the top 1,000 daily landing pages
- Geographical Summary – impressions, clicks, and CTR by country
This addition to the Google Analytics Suite will provide a much needed new dimension to the Search Engine Optimizers and other Google tools webmasters use to analyze and strategize the performance of their websites. Such an advanced filtering mechanism will significantly increase webmasters’ ability to analyze their website traffic data.
However, please note that this data is not yet available on the basic Google Webmaster Tools. To use these features for a website, one needs to not only be a Google Analytics administrator, but also a verified site owner on Webmaster Tools. Delegation of the authority to view these reports is also possible.
